TPIC is home to the School’s pro bono requirement and to a diverse array of public interest programs and events.

TPIC offers the Public Interest Experience (PIE) to all JD and LLM students and oversees the Toll Public Service Corps, which contains the prestigious Toll Public Interest Scholars & Fellows academic scholarships.

Government
As part of the Law School’s historic commitment to public service, the Leo Model Foundation Government Service & Public Affairs Initiative prepares students and alumni to be leaders in the government and policymaking arenas. Through the initiative, which launched thanks to the generous gift of the Leo Model Foundation, students and faculty engage with some of the most urgent government and public policy issues.

Penn Carey Law works tirelessly to ensure that financial constraints do not act as barriers to public interest careers. In addition to the prestigious Toll Public Interest Scholars & Fellows academic scholarships, the Law School offers extensive summer funding, postgraduate fellowships, loan repayment, and employment support for those dedicated to careers in public interest.
