Student Resources for Penn Law Students

Support and Resources for 1Ls:

The Law School is offering a range of administrative and faculty support resources for first-year students. Faculty and staff members from Academic Support, Career Services, the Center on Professionalism, Student Affairs, and the Toll Public Interest Center are available for drop-ins and scheduled meetings, to discuss your questions, suggestions, and concerns.
We suggest that you might also find it helpful to reach out to:
  • Your 1L Faculty Advisor.
  • Academic Support - to improve your study and test-taking skills, make an appointment with the Academic Support Program faculty (Professors Jessica Simon and Felicia Lin).
  • Faculty Ombudsperson: For faculty-student issues, our faculty ombudsperson is a key resource.  This individual, a tenured member of the faculty, can assist students in navigating an array of issues that may arise in the classroom.  Note, the ombudsperson is NOT a point person for questions about grades or academic performance.  Those inquiries can be directed to Academic Affairs/Registrar’s Office and Student Affairs, as a starting point.

The 2018-2019 faculty ombudsperson is Professor Tobias B. Wolff - twolff@law.upenn.edu
