Widgets and Content Layouts

The new Penn Law site uses a wide variety of design elements for news, events, profiles, and more— with additional options for page content layouts as well. Most of them will be collected and presented here.

Widgets

Widgets are how dynamic content from the CMS — stories, events, profiles, blurbs, forms, image galleries, and more— are added to the pages of the Penn Law site. The content is edited via the back end dashboard; the widget on the page simply controls which items are shown and how they’re displayed.

Content Layouts

A content layout is used when you want to create some page content that doesn’t come from news, events, etc. — just regular editable page content — but that still requires a stylish layout. A variety of pre-defined content layouts are available for site editors.
