Penn LSRJ incorporates pro bono project work, community building, activism, and events work focused on ensuring reproductive justice access for all individuals. Since 2005, our organization has collaborated with the Women’s Law Project, the Public Defender’s Office, Planned Parenthood, and the Philadelphia Women’s Center to ensure access to safe, comprehensive, and affordable reproductive healthcare. Penn LSRJ currently provides direct legal service to clients in the form of judicial bypass counseling and clinic escorting and performs legal and policy research.
Penn LSRJ seeks to foster an ongoing, meaningful dialogue about reproductive rights and the legal debates surrounding those issues at Penn. As a chapter of the national Law Student for Reproductive Justice, Penn LSRJ provides its members with access to other organizations and community partners throughout the country that pursue reproductive justice. We host or co-host events such as Sex Ed Quizzo, panel discussions on recent Supreme Court cases, and advocacy and policy career panels.
