In teams, students work under the supervision of local pro bono attorneys and upper-level student case managers to directly represent individual refugees overseas who are seeking resettlement in the United States. Students conduct interviews with clients via Skype to write affidavits on clients’ behalf, and draft briefs to be submitted to the U.S. government requesting the individual’s request be granted. Students gain practical legal skills and receive in-depth training and support. Regular case round meetings bring teams together to discuss issues in their cases.
