Intro & general information about working in law firms
Many Penn Law graduates pursue highly successful careers in law firms across the country. A wide variety of firms value our graduates not only for the quality of their legal education, but also for how well they perform as lawyers: for their abilities to collaborate in teams, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment.
Thanks to the Law School’s cross-disciplinary approach, our graduates are employed in all practice areas and often have opportunities to work on some of the most important matters of the day on behalf of their clients.

“I feel that my education at Penn provided me with a great foundation for my legal career. While many top law school professors can make students into great issue spotters, my professors at Penn pushed me to find solutions to those issues. As an FDA/healthcare lawyer I completed a six-month secondment at a pharmaceutical company client, where I was a counselor to the business.”
