1L Judicial Internships

Many judges are pleased to accept applications from 1Ls for summer internships. As an intern, a student works in chambers with the judge’s law clerks (usually as a volunteer, although summer funding may available). Typically, a student will research cases that are before the judge, attend court proceedings, and occasionally draft memoranda, orders, or opinions for the judge.
