The Calendar is a global tool that keeps track of events and assignments across all of your courses in Canvas.  It integrates closely with the Assignments and Syllabus pages of your courses and also contains a tool for scheduling meetings between faculty and students.

There are two tools available in Canvas for content delivery: Files and Modules.  Both have similar uses, but also have different features.

There are a few different tools available for class communications in Canvas.  This tip will distinguish between Announcements, Class Mailing List, and Conversations.

Instructure, the company behind Canvas, has extensive documentation available for all Canvas users.  There are guides on all features available to each particular course role (Student, Instructor, Observer, Designer) as well as guides on the features and functionality of the mobile app.
