The Monroe E. Price International Moot Court team will compete in the Worlds Round in June 2022.

Each year, students on the Moot Court Board collaborate behind-the-scenes to create and run the Law School’s annual advocacy competition, the Edwin R. Keedy Cup.

This Spring, Manan Shishodia LLM’22 served as a judge in two of the largest, most prestigious moot court competitions in the world.

A Penn Carey Law team of 2Ls placed second at the Maryland Carey Law’s Health Law Regulatory & Compliance Competition.

Gregory Burton (L ’22), Jarett Rovner (L ’22), Dimitri Villegas (L ’22), and Emerson Womble (L ’23), who took second place in the regional round of the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition (“STAC”).

Jack Heyburn L’18 and Teresa Akkara L’18 won this year’s Edwin R. Keedy Cup, Penn Law’s internal moot court competition. In addition, Paul Quincy L’18 was named Best Oralist.

Penn Law students Stephen DeSalvo L’17 and Matt Lembo L’17 won the national championship of the 44th annual American Intellectual Property Law Association Giles S. Rich Moot Court.

Andrew D’Aversa L’17 and Aaseesh Polavarapu L’17 were named the winners of this year’s Edwin R. Keedy Cup. Andrew Steinmetz L’17 was named Best Oralist.

Congratulations to the team of Karan Kalia (Oralist), Phillip Scheibenflugh (Oralist), Angeles Femenia (Oralist), Heyi Coco, Yvette Lin, and Rolando Castellas were runners-up in the Fifth LLM international Moot Court Competition held from April 6-8 at the American University in Washington, D.C. Over twenty-five teams participated from over 18 schools.

Penn Law’s Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team was awarded Second Best Team in the World, Best Team in the United States, and Best Respondent Side in the World.
