What I Did Before Law School:
I was in a PhD program in law of the University of Hong Kong and serving as a research assistant at Asian Institute of International Financial Law.
Why I Chose Penn Law:
Ivy League school, world class and distinguished professors, diversified student bodies, friendly staff, convenient location. What I can say is that I would never regret that I chose Penn Law.
My Best Experience at Penn Law:
The whole year was amazing. I was able to access the worldwide well-known professors, had the opportunities to discuss legal issues with exceptional young lawyers from more than 35 countries. I learned a lot from this year’s experience.
Professor Who Influenced Me Most:
Professor William Tyson. One of the most difficult tasks in this world is to explain very complicated things in an extremely simple but clear way. Professor Tyson is an expert in doing that. In addition, he is the most humorous professor I have ever met.
My Favorite Course:
Corporations. It is the most challenging course I took in Penn Law. I learned not only the legal material, but also how to survive and succeed in the Law School: never giving up; seeking help from the professor and your peer fellows; being strategic; and working hard.
My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:
Touring the old section of town, enjoying delicious food and gorgeous arts.
What I’m Most Proud Of:
I am so proud of being a member of Penn Law.
My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:
Translator-in-chief, China Law and Policy Review
Associate Editor, Journal of International Law and Policy
LLM advisor, Journal of International Law Information Officer of the class committee
TA for Securities Regulation Course of 2007 Wharton-Securities Association of China Executive Program
My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:
Locust Walk is always a great place to be around and meet people from different schools. Penn Law’s courtyard is always filled with joyful students and it’s an amazing place to sit around and talk to your colleagues about anything.
