International Human Rights Advocacy (IHRA)
The International Human Rights Advocacy Project (IHRA) is committed to advancing international human rights law through strategic legal advocacy and support. We collaborate with organizations and institutions to challenge systemic injustices, support survivors of human rights violations, and promote global accountability. Our work aims to contribute to progressive human rights jurisprudence, secure justice for marginalized communities, and advance the universal application of human rights principles worldwide.
What we do:
International Human Rights Advocacy (IHRA) partners with organizations to address transnational human rights abuses and humanitarian crises through legal advocacy.
How we do it:
IHRA seeks to provide litigation support for human rights attorneys working at the forefront of humanitarian crises and international conflict. With a focus on victim compensation and addressing systemic injustice, IHRA seeks to provide tangible results for community partners and clients.
Direct Support: IHRA partners with organizations and human rights attorneys across the globe to assist in litigation and advocacy related to human rights abuses. Our work includes drafting documents and briefs for litigation, attorney support, country of origin research, survivor advocacy, and more.
Service Trip: IHRA conducts a service trip in the spring semester to serve clients and offer on-the-ground support for our international partners.
