Veterans Law Project (VLP)

The Veterans Law Project (VLP) focuses on protecting the rights and interests of U.S. Military Veterans through the legal system.

What we do:

VLP works with partner organizations in Veterans Court, on Veterans Affairs benefits claims and appeals, and other veteran-relaated legal issues.

How we do it:

Project volunteers conduct targeted legal research, write memos and briefs, draft motions or appeals and/or create educational materials for veteran-focused legal organizations.

How and when can I join:

What skills will I develop:

Experience with Veterans Court, legal writing, and client interaction.

The work is likely to be New York Bar eligible.
