Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo - Bachelor of Laws (2000 - 2004)
What I Did Before Law School:
Before the LL.M. I worked as a corporate lawyer in a law firm in São Paulo and New York.
Why I Chose Penn Law:
I chose Penn Law because of its tradition and reputation as an Ivy League School and the recognized quality of its LL.M. program. I also heard great things about the LL.M. program and the friendly environment of Penn Law from previous LL.M. students.
My Best Experience at Penn Law:
Probably the time I have been spending with my fellow LL.Ms getting to know their different backgrounds and experiences.
Professor Who Influenced Me Most:
Professor Michael Wachter who has made the Socratic method not as scary to an LL.M. student as it may seem and encouraged us all to step out our comfort zone and actively participate in class taking the best advantage of this new learning environment.
My Favorite Course:
We are still in the fall semester, but until now my favorite course is Corporations with Professor Wachter. This course has been fostering my legal thinking and giving me a broader perspective of corporate law.
My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:
The Schuylkill River Trail in a sunny day is perfect for jogging while enjoying nice views of the Philadelphia skyline, the art museum and the boathouses.
What I’m Most Proud Of:
Taking one year off from work to go back to school and take the LLM. It is really an enriching experience, not only academically but also culturally. I met the most amazing people here that are making the LL.M. an unforgettable experience.
My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:
Latin America Law Student Association
My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:
The Levy Park in the middle of the campus and the architecture of the buildings around it are beautiful.
