Juliana van Hoeven
Deputy Law Registrar & Director of Academic Affairs
Juliana van Hoeven brings significant litigation and transactional experience to her role as Director of Academic Affairs & Deputy Registrar at Penn Carey Law. Prior to joining the Law School, Juliana clerked for the former Chief Judge John E. Jones III of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Thereafter, Juliana practiced in the Delaware office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she focused on defending corporations and their directors and officers in merger and acquisition-related litigation. Juliana also practiced with Ballard Spahr LLP, where she counseled clients on matters including discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants, and theft of trade secrets and confidential information. Juliana also has experience conducting internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct.
Juliana graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. Juliana graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, cum laude, with a Juris Doctor in 2015 and from the School of Social Policy and Practice with a Master of Science in 2017.
