Why a JD/MBA?
The Carey JD/MBA program at Penn exposes individuals to the intersection between business and law within a one-of-a-kind environment. I chose to pursue the program because of the long-term benefits that would accrue from learning in such a setting, which would allow me to better assess the risks and rewards in investing. Further, learning from the perspectives of people with diverse backgrounds at each school would allow me to broaden my own outlook and mental plasticity.
Why focus on the Health Care Management Program? What is it like to be in the program?
I chose to major in Health Care Management at Wharton given my professional interest in healthcare investing and belief that capital can incentivize meaningful improvements within patients’ lives. As one of the strongest healthcare programs globally, Wharton’s Health Care Management program prepares individuals with the knowledge and skillsets necessary to grasp a dynamic and changing industry. I believe that the program is the best way to actualize my desire to help fund innovation within the industry.
Being part of the program itself is great. June and the administration do a terrific job in creating a bespoke class with an incredible breadth of knowledge within the space. I am grateful to have such a supportive and knowledgeable peer group within the broader Wharton community. The collaborative and inclusive community has been like a second family and pairs well with the strong culture and intellectual rigor within the Carey JD/MBA program.
