Hannah Sachs L’23

Hannah pursued a dual law and public policy degree to study how laws, policies, and governance frameworks contribute to an equitable and environmentally sustainable society. At Penn, she served as the co-lead of the Democracy Law Project’s Community Organizing Project. She is currently externing with Energy Futures Initiative and Workers’ United, the union organizing the Starbucks workers.

Hannah previously worked as the assistant to Dr. Jane Sanders on Senator Sanders’ 2020 Presidential Campaign and was a fellow at Dejusticia (Center for Law, Justice, and Society) in Bogotá, Colombia, on national climate litigation and international human rights work. During her 1L Summer, Hannah supported the co-counsel of the Senate Budget Committee during the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill and 2022 budget resolution. She spent her 2L summer interning with the Department of Labor’s Office of the Solicitor. Hannah is a graduate of Yale College and studied U.S. 20th century foreign policy.
