Why Penn? Penn was the only institution that emphasized its interdisciplinary approach to learning. I was exposed to this type of education in undergrad, and I wanted to continue that training in a dual-degree program. In addition, Penn emphasized a collegiality between students across its graduate schools. So, not only do I get training that will be relevant for decades to come, I also experience a diverse, welcoming community while here.
