Professional Experience Prior to Law School:
I worked at Civic Exchange, a public policy think tank in Hong Kong.
What I Am Hoping to Do with My Law Degree:
I am excited to learn about all the possibilities before me and want to take advantage of the classes at Penn Law before making a final decision.
My Best Experience at Penn Law:
Meeting my fellow classmates and learning that Penn Law’s emphasis on collegiality rings true.
Professor Who Influenced Me Most:
Professor Jason Johnston because his class is great to develop lawyering skills and have a 360 view of all the issues and arguments to a topic.
My Favorite Course:
Civ Pro. It was interesting to learn all the gray areas behind each rule and be able to apply them to advocate effectively for a client.
Describe How CP&P and the Center on Professionalism Are Helping Prepare You for Your Career:
They provided me with contact information to alumni and upperclassmen who could give me advice on my career and the inside details before interviews.
An Example of How the Law School’s Cross-disciplinary Approach Influences My Legal Education:
I am really excited to take classes outside the law school to make my time here as interdisciplinary as possible. I may also consider studying abroad my 3L year.
My Favorite Philadelphia Moment:
Being able to go out and explore the food scene during Restaurant Week.
My Favorite Place or Activity on the University Campus:
Fine Arts Library at Penn. It is beautiful inside and makes studying a lot more relaxing.
What I’m Most Proud Of:
Still being able to stay warm on my first extended stay out on the East Coast!
My Extracurricular Activities at Penn Law:
APALSA, East Asia Law Review, Penn Law in the Arts.
What I Did For Public Interest:
I did some pro bono tax work but am really interested in getting involved in clinics during my time here.
