If you have made summer housing plans, instead of canceling them outright, we recommend that you develop contingency plans. Consider reaching out to your summer housing landlord/provider and discuss the possibility that you may need to change the timing and duration of your lease, including delaying your arrival, extending your stay and possibly canceling altogether.

If you have not yet made housing arrangements, we recommend that you account for these contingencies and avoid signing agreements that cannot be canceled or making deposits that cannot be refunded.
