Some firms have asked students to complete an online application prior to the screening interview.  Please note that if the application asks you to upload documents besides your resume, you should skip that section.  The firms understand that, besides the resume, it is against our policy to provide transcripts and other documents prior to a screening interview, and they are not expecting these materials in advance.  Instead, you should bring requested documents with you to your screening interview.  We also recommend that you clarify which documents the employer wants to see in Symplicity.

In addition, the application may also ask for a GPA.  Because Penn Law does not calculate GPA, you cannot provide this information either.  If the online application requires that you enter something in order to complete the form, we suggest entering something that is clearly filler, such as all X’s (if it will accept letters), or if not, all zeros or all nines.
