Sarah Byrne grew up in a small town called Ringwood in the woods of Northern New Jersey. She graduated from Cornell University in 2015 with a BA in Biology & Society; she was originally pre-med, but then it turned out that she hated organic chemistry with a burning passion. During undergrad, she ran a musical theatre company and studied abroad in Paris. After college, she worked for a year at the Food Network in TV production, then at the law firm Loeb & Loeb as a paralegal in Media & Technology. The Food Network job sounded more fun, but she realized she liked being a paralegal more, so she decided to go to law school! At Penn, Sarah serves as a representative for the Council of Student Representatives for the 2L class, and is also the treasurer of that group. She is also the Executive Vice President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. She is spending summer 2019 interning in-house with a tech company called Fluent, focusing on data privacy issues. During her free time, Sarah enjoys running, baking chocolate chip cookies for all of her friends, reading, and watching every romcom on Netflix.
