Emily Brincka

Emily Brincka is a rising 2L who was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from American University in 2014, Emily served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda and The Gambia. During her Peace Corps service in Uganda, she collaborated with community members to implement HIV/AIDS prevention and gender violence prevention projects. In The Gambia, she worked on gender development projects and participated in a two-week run across the country (running over 135 km!) that raised awareness of the gender gap in education access. After Peace Corps, Emily decided to attend Penn Law. At Penn Law, Emily is a Custody and Support Assistance Clinic (CASAC) Advocate, a member of First Generation Professionals, and enjoys doing pro bono for International Human Rights Advocates (IHRA). This summer, Emily will be working at Berger Montague in Philadelphia. During her free time, Emily enjoys getting lost in Reading Terminal Market (after a stop at Beilers Donuts), training for her next marathon, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns.
