Megan Steinheimer is from Denver, Colorado, and received BAs in History and Sociology from the University of Missouri in 2022. During her studies, she focused on socio-political movements and historic responses to oppression.

During her 1L summer, Megan interned at the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC), working on state anti-discrimination proceedings. At Penn Carey Law, Megan is the co-chair of the Fair Housing Commission Hearing Team under the Penn Housing Rights Project and an Associate Editor on the Journal of Law and Social Change. She has also volunteered with the Custody and Support Assistance Clinic and the Penn Pardon Project. Megan plans to use the skills she developed in these roles to provide client-centered representation for immigrants and asylum seekers.

Outside of school, Megan enjoys watching sports, baking sweet treats, and playing with her cat.
