Why a JD/MBA? Topics in law require deep collaboration with individuals from a variety of fields. I decided to apply to Wharton during my first semester of law school as I felt that I needed to know more than the legal side of the issues I will encounter, and as I considered the future of my legal education and career, I wanted to acquire a comprehensive understanding of business as well as the law. As such, the JD/MBA has provided me with the expertise that I need to understand the strategic, financial, and legal challenges faced by my future clients. The JD/MBA program also brings together a cohort of students with a range of industry experiences and perspectives. It is a close-knit community and network in which I have been able to learn and grow during my time at Penn.
