Why a JD/MBA?

Even though I plan on going into law, the MBA program is a compliment to my interest in corporate transaction law. Through coursework and clubs, I get to make connections in and learn about different industries of interest such as retail and energy. The JD program has prepared me for my work as an attorney and through the MBA program I am developing a deeper understanding of how to operate a business, interpret financial statements, and evaluate strategic decisions businesses make. The dual degree offers me different views on how to approach a situation: through the lens of an attorney or of management. This ability to approach a problem and see it from more than one angle will help me better serve my future clients.
