Kairos - Open Discourse Society

We are dedicated to promoting an environment of healthy debate and dialogue on campus by hosting discussions and forums on salient and often controversial topics. We ensure a respectful and “collegial” setting in order to foster a model of positive and productive discourse. We firmly believe that truly reasonable minds often can differ. And the antidote to bad speech is more and thoughtful speech.

Past events include a discussion of the pros and cons of affirmative action and a student-panel on the merits of various testing accommodations. Future events may include topics such as the 2020 election, gun control, teacher tenure, drug legalization, and more. To be added to our list serve, please reach out to azuck@pennlaw.upenn.edu.
