At Penn Law, I never doubted that my queer identity could also be a part of my professional and academic identity. I could be visible and fearless in sharing my experiences while pursuing my goals at Penn Law and beyond. Being a leader of Lambda has allowed me to advocate for and give back to the community that has given me an important sense of belonging since my first day of law school. Lambda at Penn is special because we are a thriving community of students, faculty, and staff. When I saw that Penn Law has prominent out faculty who have litigated and worked closely on the issues of LGBT rights, I knew that I would be at a school where being LGBT is celebrated and valued. But perhaps the most valuable part of Lambda and being openly LGBT at Penn Law is that when you know that things can always be better, there is a community around you who believes that too.
