Romy Rahme, LLM’10Head of Legal Department, FEED
FEED is a Lebanese nonprofit humanitarian organization, powered by the concerted aim of breaking both the poverty cycle and the poverty mindset. FEED’s priorities are to improve basic living standards, leverage education and prevent health complications among the disadvantaged. Further goals included assisting families in obtaining decent housing and offering them legal support when needed.
Rahme is head of the legal department at FEED and is responsible for assisting the FEED family in all legal issues. Romy’s experience combines great professional talents with her sense of applied social justice: her expertise and passions support FEED’s mission of securing and defending the rights and dignity of every human being, regardless of their station in life.
Rahme is a Partner at Emile Rahme Law Firm in Beirut. Prior to her current position, she worked in the New York office of Dewey & LeBoeuf and was an Associate at Tyan and Associates in Beirut.
Rahme holds a LL.B degree in Law and Political Sciences from Saint Joseph University and a LL.M from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, with a concentration in Corporate and Finance Law.
