How Do I Print and Connect to WiFi?

Printing at Penn Law

All members of the Penn Law community can print to any of the multi-function student printers.  After sending your print job, go to any of the print stations and swipe your Penn Card. Select your file from the screen to print.

For Mac Users…

To set up the student printers on a Mac laptop, download and run the Mac OS Add Print Queue script. If you receive errors, visit this page for detailed instructions

For Windows Users…

  1. Hold the Windows key and press the R key to bring up the Run dialogue box.
  2. Type \\stuprinters.law.upenn.edu\law-lab and press Enter.
  3. When prompted to login, enter your LawKey username prefixed with NET\ (for example, NET\joesmith) and your LawKey password.

Printing to the law-lab Queue

The first time you print to law-lab, you will need to authenticate with your LawKey.

  1. After printing a document to law-lab, click the Printer Icon on your dock.
  2. Click the Resume button.
  3. When prompted to login, enter your LawKey username prefixed with NET\ (for example, NET\joesmith) and your LawKey password. Select Remember this password in my keychain and click OK.

Connecting Laptops to AirPennNet (Wifi)

For Mac Users…

  1. Select the network called Connect to AirPennNet.
  2. Open up a web browser and navigate to http://www.upenn.edu (be sure to use http://).
  3. You will be re-directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page.
  4. Verify your version of MacOS and click on the JoinNow button to download the SecureW2 app.
  5. Run the SecureW2 application after it has downloaded then enter your PennKey and Password. Click Continue.
  6. Enter your Computer Admin Account & Password.
  7. When you are finished, you will be automatically connected to AirPennNet and prompted with the message “Joined.”

For Windows Users…

  1. Select Network named Connect to AirPennNet and click Connect.
  2. Open web browser and go to http://www.upenn.edu  (be sure to use http://).
  3. You will be re-directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page.
  4. Make sure the operating system listed is correct and click JoinNow to download the Secure W2 app.
  5. Run the Secure W2 app once it has downloaded. 
  6. The JoinNow wizard will open prompting you for your PennKey and Password.
  7. Enter your PennKey and Password and click Next.
  8. After your credentials have been authenticated you will be automatically set to AirPennNet.
  9. Once you are connected, you will receive the message “Joined”. Click Done.
