Comcast Corporation and NBCUniversal’s Washington, DC office has three full time positions available for legal interns for summer 2019. Candidates should indicate whether they would like to be considered for the Public Policy Internship, the Regulatory Internship, the NBCUniversal Internship, or all three.
Both the Public Policy and Regulatory Interns will research and write on a variety of issues including cable, Internet, voice, wireless, and related topics. While the Regulatory Intern will focus on regulatory actions at the Federal Communications Commission, the Public Policy Intern may focus on legislative and other Federal processes.
The NBCUniversal Intern will focus heavily on regulatory, legislative, and public policy matters related to intellectual property and broadcasting/media issues.
All interns can expect to prepare briefing memos, talking points, comment summaries, and other written material, and may have opportunities to attend conferences and other events outside of the office. Interns will work with management to determine the impact of federal actions on the organization, develop presentations and other written materials on findings, and act as an internal consultant to the government affairs teams.
Applicants must be highly motivated self-starters, well-organized, detail-orientated, and able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and make decisions relying upon sound judgment. Strong research and writing skills required, and preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated interest in cable, media, telecommunications, and entertainment industries.
Please send a cover letter, resume, references, transcript, and short writing sample to Elizabeth Chernow at Public_PolicyIntern@comcast.com no later than Monday, February 25.
