Opportunities at V&E!
$25,000 Diversity Fellowships for Rising 2Ls We are excited to announce an increase in our annual 2L Diversity Fellowships to $25,000 for each award! Top students of color and LGBTQ students are encouraged to apply, and awarded students also receive a summer clerkship in one of our U.S. offices. V&E Fellowships are another way we support our commitment to inclusion in the profession and at V&E. Applications for this year’s Fellowships are available online through August 24, 2018. Each applicant will need to update his/her profile and upload a diversity statement (500 words or less) describing how his/her unique experiences will contribute to our practice of law. Contact Amber Carter with questions (acarter@velaw.com or 713.758.2437).
Public Interest Split Program As part of our Summer Associate Program, V&E offers Public Interest Split opportunities to support law students who have a passion for public service. Awarded students will work at V&E for half of the Summer Program, and for the second half, we sponsor Summer Associates while working for a public interest organization located in one of our U.S. offices. Students continue to receive V&E’s full Summer Associate salary ($3,654/week) for a maximum of six weeks at a public interest organization. (Government agencies are not included in this program.)
