This monthly workshop will offer participants an opportunity to practice awareness activities adapted from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. We will begin with a brief guided meditation. Following this meditation, we will experience mindful eating. (Please be sure to bring a lunch or snack that you would feel comfortable eating in silence.) We will then discuss how we might apply awareness to our everyday lives. The session will conclude with Kabat-Zinn’s “body scan,” “lake,” or “mountain” meditation. No experience necessary.
