Employee Health and Wellness Month Kick-off Walk
June 01, 2018
Human Resources wants to help you increase your daily activity level and improve your health. We believe that faculty and staff members who make walking a part of their everyday activities will feel better mentally, physically, emotionally, and be more productive as a result.
With that being said, June is “Employee Health and Wellness Month” and we are kicking off the month by sponsoring a wellness walk on Friday, June 1st. We have partnered with the Center for Public Health Initiatives, and Campus Recreation to make this a fun event. CPHI has designed a great 2-mile route which will end at Pottruck.
To continue on with the events, Pottruck will be hosting an “Open House’ where they will have a table outside where you can receive some promotional items along with some information about programs, services, and memberships.
So meet us at 12 noon in front of College Hall by the Ben Franklin statue for a quick stretching warm-up. The walk will be 2-miles and we will inform you when we have reached the 1-mile mark in the event that you may need to exit the walk early. We hope you will be able to join us. Invite a co-worker, bring your water bottle, and don’t forget your sneakers!
When: Friday, June 1, 12pm-1pm
Where: Meet in front of College Hall by the Ben Franklin statue
