The Francis J. & Wm. Polk Carey JD/MBA Program leverages the resources of two preeminent schools – Penn Law and Wharton – to educate a uniquely talented cohort of women and men who graduate prepared to serve as leaders at the intersection of business and law. This unique program requires the stewardship of an individual equipped and willing to leverage the resources of both schools to the benefit of the program and its students. Through a rigorous interview and selection process we identified such an individual in Kelly McLaughlin, who started serving as the new Director of the Carey JD/MBA Program on March 19th.
An alumna of the University of Virginia, Kelly gained experience in consulting for Accenture and Deloitte before completing her Masters of Education at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. She joined the Wharton MBA Admissions team in June 2017, and she previously served as Assistant Director of JD Admissions at Harvard Law School. Her experience in both law school and MBA admissions has given her an impressive set of skills, which she will bring to her new role as Director of the Carey JD/MBA program.
