EJF Auction raises $85,000 for grants to students pursuing public interest work
On February 22, Penn’s Law’s Equal Justice Foundation Auction raised over $85,000 as part of the Law School’s 10th Annual Public Interest Week. The EJF is a student-run organization that funds Penn Law students pursuing public interest work and serving communities whose legal needs may otherwise go unmet. All proceeds from the auction are given as grants to students.
The EJF leaders include co-presidents Chris Brigante L’18 and Laily Sheybani L’18; co-vice presidents Sara Lynch L’18, Addie Rolnick L’18, Stephanie Dowd L’18, and Monica Yang L’18; auction chairs Anya Perret L’19, Leigh Anne Schriever L’19, Amanda LeSavage L’19, Adriana Simmons L’19, and Erin Sweeney L’19; treasurer Alyssa Wolfington L’19; and general fundraising chairs Courtney Helt L’19 and Tina Lapsia L’19.
Rick D’Avino L’80 served as the auctioneer for the evening, as he has done frequently in past years.
