#281 Examplify Minimum System Requirements

In class exams will be taken on a laptop and will require that students install Examsoft’s latest software (called Examplify). This replaces the SofTest program that was used last year. All students should prepare and test their laptops for in class exams in advance.

Most importantly, review the Minimum System Requirements for Examplify:

(Windows)  (Mac OS X)

 

 

** For Mac Users: Mac users should NOT update their laptops to the new High Sierra OS when it becomes available in late September as it has not been certified to work with Examplify yet.

 

 ** For Windows Users: Windows users should NOT update their laptops to the new Windows 10 Fall Creators Update when it is released in October as it has not been certified to work with Examplify yet. Also, please note that only genuine, U.S.-English, French, Portuguese, Swedish, and British versions of Windows Operating Systems are supported.

If you receive a “Recommended System Requirements” screen upon downloading Examplify which states “You may experience performance issues because your system doesn’t meet these recommendations. You need at least Windows Vista or greater”, then please reach out to ExamSoft. This may imply that you have a Windows Operating System that is NOT supported (and may be due to the language requirement).  More information on updating your language pack in Windows is available at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/add-language-interface-packs-to-windows.

 

 

There are currently four Mock Exams loaded into Examplify. Please take the time to download and install Examplify to practice taking the Mock Exams. Instructions can be found here : https://www.law.upenn.edu/live/files/6934-examplify-walkthrough.

 

It is your responsibility to have your laptop tested and ready to work with Examplify before your quarter and end of term exams. If your laptop does not meet the minimum system requirements, there is an option to rent a system prior to your exam.
