Professor deLisle Presents on Taiwan’s 2016 Election and Prospects for the Tsai Administration

Professor deLisle served as a moderator and presenter at a conference co-hosted by the Center for East Asia Policy Studies at Brookings and the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) on how the 2016 elections in Taiwan impact domestic and international politics.

On June 8, the Center for East Asia Policy Studies at Brookings and the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) co-hosted a conference on the future of Taiwan under the Tsai administration. Professor Jacques deLisle served as a moderator on how the 2016 elections impact domestic politics and spoke on Taiwan’s international space as well as the country’s constitutional and quasi-constitutional challenges. FPRI’s journal of world affairs, Orbis, will publish the conference papers in an upcoming special issue on Taiwan.
