Penn’s Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team Wins Best Written Submission in the World at International Rounds

Congratulations are in order!  This past week Penn’s Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team won the International Rounds of the competition in Washington DC.  Penn’s team qualified for the International Rounds for the first time in nearly a decade, by winning the US Regional Rounds in February.  Out of over 600 total teams from all over the world that participate in the Jessup competition, Penn’s team had a huge success, including:

  • Respondent’s Memorial: Best in World
  • Combined Memorial (Applicant & Respondent): Second Best in World
  • Oral Arguments: 21st in World, 5th in United States

The team includes Katy Akopjan, James Lee, Bethan Jones, Alexander Bedrosyan, Pinky Mehta, Leo Park, and Adria Moshe, and was coached by Bill Burke-White.
