The four Keedy Cup Finalists meet with Ilana Eisenstein L’04, an Assistant to the Solicitor General

March 09, 2015

The four Keedy Cup Finalists (Jessa DeGroote L’15, Jacob Lefkowitz L’15, Michael McDonald L’15, and Roger Stronach L’15) met with Ilana Eisenstein L’04, an Assistant to the Solicitor General, to discuss her argument in Ohio v. Clark, the case the students argued as part of the Keedy Cup Finals in January. Eisenstein was in Philadelphia to attend the TPIC’s Public Interest Gala on February 28 and reached out to the students to get their thoughts on the case in advance of her Supreme Court argument on March 2.

The Finalists then traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the oral arguments in Ohio v. Clark. Along with Judge Cheryl Ann Krause of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit — one of the members of the panel who judged the Keedy Cup this year — and her clerks, the finalists attended the oral argument, visited Justice Kennedy’s chambers, and took a private tour of the Supreme Court.
