Keeping Up to Date with the Supreme Court

When fall is in the air, the Supreme Court starts it new session in Washington.  With the October 2014 Term, students may be interested in upcoming cases, when the court will hear oral arguments, and where they can located important documents, like Petitions for Writs of Certiori.  All of these can be found on Scotusblog, one of the most well-respected of law blogs.

Scotusblog also offers a number of other features:  case and amicus briefs; video interviews with legal specialists offering commentary on cases before the court; and statistics on the court and its caseload. Some of the special features that are found on the blog include Scotusblog hosted symposia on key cases, a multi-media library, and biographies of the Justices.  Students will find Scotusblog a good resources whether they are interested in following a particular case, researching on a case before the court, or just keeping informed on Supreme Court jurisprudence as it is made.
