Staff Digital Cleanup Program
ITS will be working with each department to locate and either delete or secure sensitive data on staff PCs and network drives. The program basically entails running a search to identify sensitive data (including passwords, social security numbers, and credit card numbers) then either removing or securing the files containing the data.
The main component of this initiative is using the Identity Finder software to mitigate risk by ensuring that staff PCs do not contain unnecessary sensitive data. All staff are required to run Identity Finder to comply with University Policy.
The program also involves removing old and large files from the U and G Drives, as well as cleaning up email and reviewing archive policies.
