Big Law and International Human Rights

March 04, 2014

Robert F. Cusumano, former General Counsel of ACE and former partner and litigator at the international law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP developed and maintained a successful corporate litigation career while also making a difference in International Human Rights issues. He will be speaking about this in his presentation Big Law and International Human Rights at noon in Gittis 214 on Thursday, March 6.

Cusumano, guest lecturer in Dean Amy Gadsden’s Rule of Law: Policy and Practice seminar, helped spearhead the creation of the ACE International Rule of Law and Human Rights Fellowship with Penn Law and Human Rights First while he was GC at ACE.  Cusumano earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980.

Mr. Cusumano successfully combined his corporate career while educating others on international public law and human rights issues. If you are struggling to find a balance between practicing at a large law firm and your interest in international human rights, this presentation is for you.
