New Sleep Policy for Office Computers

February 19, 2014

To further our energy reduction efforts with the Power Down Challenge, we are implementing a new sleep policy that will reduce the energy cost of office computers.

Under this new policy, your computer will be scheduled to go to sleep after 2 hours of inactivity and will wake up every morning at 7:30am.

For more information about how to tell whether your computer is asleep and how to wake it up, please see our documentation:

If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please email itshelp@law.upenn.edu.
