#217 Using the Calendar in Canvas
The Calendar is a global tool that keeps track of events and assignments across all of your courses in Canvas. You can access the Calendar from any page in Canvas by clicking on the button labeled “Calendar” in the blue menu bar.
The Calendar integrates closely with the Assignments and Syllabus pages of your courses:
- Every event that you add to the Calendar is automatically populated at the bottom of the Syllabus page.
- If you set a due date for an Assignment in Canvas, it is automatically added to the Calendar and to the Syllabus table.
The Calendar also contains a Scheduler tool to facilitate planning meetings between faculty and students. For more information on how to use the Scheduler, please see this previous ITS Tip or this Canvas guide.
