#211 Reduce Energy Consumption

January 30, 2014

As you may know, Penn Law is participating in the Power Down Challenge, an energy reduction competition that takes place from February 3rd to March 2nd.  Here are some tips to help your technology consume less energy in the office.

1. Unplug phone and device chargers.

Chargers will draw power even if they are not connected to a device.

2. Turn off your monitor when you leave.

Leaving your monitor on will draw and waste energy.

3. Replace unused electronics.

For example, if you have speakers that are always plugged in but never used, swap them for a pair of headphones (which ITS can provide).
