The next time you need to study, consider using an app. There are a wide variety of apps that cover law school curriculum, bar exam topics, or CLE programming. Many of these apps are free to download, but require a fee for title-by-title content within the app.
Law in a Flash cards help students review legal topics point by point. The app uses a flashcard model to test your knowledge of legal topics. Titles include: civil procedure, constitutional law, criminal law, criminal procedure, commercial sales, contracts, corporations, evidence, federal income tax, future interests, professional responsibility, real property, torts, and wills and trusts. iOS and Android.
West LegalEdcenter has recreated its online continuing legal education experience with the CLE Mobile app. You can find programs, listen to them, and earn credits through the app. There are 4500 training programs within 35 areas of practice. You get one free program with the initial download of the app. iOS only.
BarMax offers bar review courses, similar to BarBri and Kaplan. It was created by Harvard-educated lawyers and claims to have much higher bar exam pass rates than respective state averages. BarMax offers several courses via individual apps, including BarMax NY and BarMax CA, the only state bar reviews they offer, as well as MBE, UBE, and MPRE. The app is relatively expensive compared to other apps in general, but affordable when compared to bar review courses. Students working in Public Interest can get a 60% off discount. iOS only.
