Market Ready Professional: Heather Frattone L’98

November 21, 2013
BOLD AMBITIONS advanced professionalism as a key goal of every education. We have greatly expanded the first-year and upper-level curricula and added faculty and staff to support professional skills as a shared priority.

Thanks to the generosity of the donors who contributed to the BOLD AMBITIONS campaign, Penn Law has been able to think strategically about how we as a school are preparing the market-ready professional. The Center on Professionalism focuses on providing opportunities for students to develop skills needed to embark on successful careers in the profession and as effective leaders and managers. The Center evaluates and integrates initiatives from across the Law School to ensure that Penn Law graduates are more prepared and competitive in the changing legal marketplace. The Center ensures that the doctrinal and analytical skills students learn in the classroom, their coursework in legal writing, and the practitioner skills they acquire through clinical placements, internships, and pro bono work are complemented by a comprehensive program of professional training and executive development. As a result, at graduation, Penn Law students are equipped with a world-class legal education, are highly competitive in the market, and are practice-ready.
