Newsletter for Clinic Alumni

July 10, 2013

The Penn Law Clinics will introduce its Alumni Newsletter this summer.   We miss our alumni, and we are searching for a way not only to bring news of our latest, most exciting accomplishments, but more importantly, to find out about the alumni.  We trust that this triannual newsletter will begin to help reconnect us and will offer an ongoing and dynamic dialogue among all of us over the years to come.

Welcome to our inaugural Penn Law Clinics Alumni Newsletter!   We miss our alumni, and we are searching for a way not only to bring you news of our latest, most exciting accomplishments, but more importantly, to find out about yours.  We trust that this triannual newsletter will begin to help reconnect us and will offer an ongoing and dynamic dialogue among all of us over the years to come.

To make reconnecting easy, throughout this newsletter, you will see blue buttons that suggest ways that you can quickly send us a message.  We are excited to hear about what you are doing now.  We welcome your nominations for alumni to feature in future newsletters.  Or, we would love to reminisce with you over a clinic memory.   These stories are heartwarming to us, but they are also important for furthering our mission.  We will use these stories to explain the importance of a clinical education to new classes of students, and also to help us as we engage in ongoing discussions about the future of legal education.  So thank you in advance for reaching out!

For our part, the Penn Law clinical program continues to grow.  We hired three new faculty members this past year and expanded to nine active clinics with incredible depth and breadth.  In this newsletter, we feature stories from the Civil Practice Clinic, the Interdisciplinary Child Advocacy Clinic and the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic.  Look for stories from the other six clinics in upcoming editions.

And for our first article featuring an alumna, we have chosen to introduce you to recent graduate Kimberly Wexler (L’13).  We were proud to award her the CLEA award for 2013.  Hope your summer finds you happy and healthy, and that we hear from you soon.
