When you are applying for a new position, particularly one that can be viewed as a career change, it is important to take in to consideration the skills you have a gained in either your past positions or your current position that makes you qualified for the position you are applying to.
Consider what skills you believe you have that you think are a fit for the organization. To help you think about this, first think about what made you apply to the position in the first place. Think about what skills you have gained in either your personal or professional life and what is transferrable to the new position you are applying to.
Determining how to capitalize on these transferrable skills and articulate them to an interviewer can make the difference between a successful and an unsuccessful application.
