#17 Schedule Your Email Deliveries to Arrive at the Perfect Time

January 20, 2011

Have you ever finished an important email only to forget to send it out at the right time? Want to make sure your email is the first that someone sees in the morning? Learn to schedule the delivery of your email to make sure it arrives in a recipient’s inbox at the perfect time.

  1. In the message, on the Options tab, in the More Options group, click Delay Delivery.
  2. Click Message Options.
  3. Under Delivery options, select the Do not deliver before check box, and then click the delivery date and time that you want.

After you click Send, the message remains in the Outbox folder until the delivery time.

You can take this a step further and delay the delivery of all your mail. This can help avoid the occasional slip up when you realize just a moment too late that you sent an email out with a mistake.

Visit Microsoft’s video tutorials on delaying messages for more information. If you need headphones to hear the audio, just email
